Spottr
Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 June 2026.
Spottr is a transport-spotting app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Spottr is currently in limited testing.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and an encrypted password (or your Apple ID if you sign in with Apple), plus optional profile details (display name, bio, home region, avatar).
- Your spots: the photos you upload, the vehicle/operator/class details, and — when you choose to attach it — the location and time of a sighting.
- Diagnostics: limited technical logs of errors to help us fix problems.
How we use it
- To run the app: store your catalogue, fleet lists, spots and journeys, and show them back to you.
- To identify a vehicle from your photo, your image is sent to our AI provider for that single request.
- To let you optionally share fleet lists with the community (only lists you explicitly submit).
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who processes your data
- Supabase — database, authentication and storage.
- Cloudflare R2 — hosting of your uploaded photos.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI vehicle identification of the photo you submit.
- Vercel — hosting of the web app and APIs.
- Apple — if you use Sign in with Apple or TestFlight.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account; this permanently removes your account and your data.
- Location on a spot is optional — you control whether it’s attached.
- For any request about your data, contact us below.
